Welcome to Gibbs4Kids.com, where it’s all about KIDS!
As a current member of the Columbus Board of Education, I am
proud to serve and work on behalf of all of the more than
55,000 children who attend Columbus City Schools.
As a graduate of a Columbus City school, I received a
quality education. Growing up in the Brittany Hills area of
Columbus, my parents taught me the importance of working
hard to give a voice to the voiceless in our communities.
From them I learned that we are all here to be servants to
our fellow human beings and that “to whom much is given,
much is required.”
On November 6, 2007, when you elect me to retain my seat on
the Columbus Board of Education, I pledge to advocate for
policies that will continue the Columbus City Schools on a
path of forward progression. I will remember that when we
ensure that every child receives a quality education, we are
investing in the future of our great city. I believe that
“children are the gift that we send to a time we may never
see.” That is why my campaign slogan is Gibbs 4 Kids!
When you pull the lever on Tuesday, November 6, 2007, for
Columbus School Board, remember to vote for W. Shawna Gibbs.
